Tasks of DPR RI

• To draft laws deliberated with the President to obtain a common agreement;
• To deliberate and agree or disagree on Government Regulations in Lieu of Laws;
• To receive and deliberate bills proposed by the DPD related to regional autonomy; center/region relations, establishment, expansion and ' amalgamation of regions; management of natural resources and other economic resources, and related to balance of relationship between the center and regions and involve them in the deliberation at the first level;
• To involve DPD in the deliberation proposed by DPR or the Government in the early phase of level I deliberation;
• To take into account the consideration of DPD on State Budget Bill and Bills related to taxation, education and religion in the early phase of level I deliberation;
• To decide the State Budget together with the President by taking into accounts the consideration of DPD;
• To oversee, the implementation of laws, State Budget and Government's policies;
• To deliberate and follow up the results of supervision proposed by DPD on the Implementation or laws on regional autonomy, establishment, expansion and amalgamation of regions, the centra1 and regional relations, natural resources and other economic resources, implementation of the State Budget, taxation, education and religion;
• To select members of the Supreme Audit Board by taking into account the consideration of DPD;
• To discuss and follow up the results of audits on the state finance accountability submitted by the Supreme Audit Board;
• To propose/recommend, to give approval, consideration, consultation and opinion;
• To absorb, collect, accommodate and to follow up the people's aspirations;
• To implement other tasks and authority as set forth in the 1945'constitution and other laws.

Authorities of DPR RI

For the purpose of performing its tasks and authorities, DPR is entitled to: :

• hold consultation and coordination with other State Institutions;
• require state officials, government officials, legal entities or the community members to provide information on matters that need to be addressed for the interest of the country and the nation.
