  • Preparing the National Legislation Program (Prolegnas)
  • Drafting and discussing the Draft Law (RUU)
  • Accepting the bill submitted by the DPD (related to regional autonomy; central and regional relations; formation, expansion and merger of regions; management of natural resources and other natural resources; and balance of central and regional finances)
  • Discussing the bill proposed by the President or DPD
  • Establish laws together with the President
  • Approve or disapprove of government regulations in lieu of law (proposed by the President) to be enacted into law
  • Approval of the Bill on the State Budget (proposed by the President)
  • Paying attention to the DPD's consideration of the Bill on the State Budget and the Bill related to taxes, education and religion
  • Following up on the results of the audit on the management and accountability of state finances submitted by the BPK
  • Giving approval to the transfer of state assets as well as to agreements that have a broad impact on people's lives related to the burden of state finances
  • Supervise the implementation of laws, APBN and government policies
  • Discussing and following up on the results of supervision submitted by the DPD (related to the implementation of the law on regional autonomy, formation, expansion and merger of regions, management of natural resources and other natural resources, implementation of the state budget, taxes, education and religion)
  • Absorb, collect, accommodate and follow up on people's aspirations
  • Give approval to the President to: (1) declare war or make peace with other countries; (2) appoint and dismiss members of the Judicial Commission.
  • Give consideration to the President in terms of: (1) granting amnesty and abolition; (2) appoint an ambassador and accept the placement of another ambassador
  • Selecting BPK Members by taking into account the considerations of the DPD
  • Giving approval to the Judicial Commission regarding candidates for Supreme Court justices who will be appointed as Supreme Court Justices by the President
  • Elect 3 (three) constitutional judges for further submission to the President
  • Interpellation Rights

    The right of the DPR to request information from the Government regarding important and strategic government policies that have a broad impact on the life of society, nation and state.

  • Subtitles

    The right of the DPR to conduct an investigation into the implementation of a law/government policy relating to matters of importance, strategy, and broad impact on the life of society, nation and state which are suspected to be contrary to the laws and regulations.

  • Right to Express Opinion
    • Government policies or regarding extraordinary events that occur in the country or in the international world;
    • Follow up on the implementation of the right of interpellation and the right of inquiry; or
    • Allegations that the President and/or Vice President have violated the law in the form of treason against the state, corruption, bribery, other serious crimes, or disgraceful acts, and/or the President and/or Vice President no longer meet the requirements as President and/or Vice President .
